Enclomiphene is the trans-isomer of clomiphene citrate and functions as a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). Research suggests it acts primarily as an estrogen receptor antagonist in the hypothalamus, promoting luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) secretion. This, in turn, may stimulate natural testosterone production while maintaining fertility, distinguishing it from traditional testosterone replacement approaches. Enclomiphene is currently being investigated for its potential role in managing secondary hypogonadism, restoring endogenous hormone balance, and supporting studies in male reproductive endocrinology.
