EPITHALON (also known as Epitalon or Epithalamin) is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) derived from the naturally occurring pineal gland peptide epithalamin. Research suggests it may stimulate telomerase activity, leading to elongation of telomeres and improved cellular lifespan. Epithalon has also been studied for its regulatory effects on circadian rhythm, oxidative stress reduction, and modulation of endocrine function.
Preclinical and clinical investigations indicate potential applications in aging research, regenerative medicine, and healthspan studies. Its ability to influence fundamental cellular processes makes Epithalon a valuable candidate for research into longevity, genomic stability, and systemic repair mechanisms.
