Amino Asylum was one of the best-known online suppliers of research peptides and SARMs. Its storefront went offline in mid-2025, and the business relaunched under new names: first Soma Chems, which closed in October 2026, and Amino Tech. If you used Amino Asylum for lab supplies, this page covers what happened, which claims are unconfirmed, and what to check before choosing where to buy next.

All compounds discussed are sold for laboratory research use only and are not for human or veterinary use. This page summarizes publicly reported information about a business closure and is not legal or medical advice.

The short version

  • Amino Asylum’s storefront went offline around mid-June 2025. Forum reports of the shutdown date from June 19, 2025.
  • The company has published no closure statement, reason or support contact that we could find.
  • Claims of an FDA raid or arrests circulate widely but are unconfirmed. We found no FDA notice, warning letter or court filing naming Amino Asylum.
  • Amino Asylum relaunched as Soma Chems, which closed in October 2026.
  • The same business now operates as Amino Tech.
  • Other sites that claim a connection to Amino Asylum without proof should be treated with caution.

What happened to Amino Asylum

Amino Asylum’s website stopped taking orders around mid-June 2025. Customers on bodybuilding forums reported the shutdown on June 19, 2025, and many said they were waiting on orders or refunds. The company never published an announcement explaining the closure, so most of what circulates online is secondhand.

Since then, its old domains have changed hands or settings more than once. In August 2026 the old store address redirected to a placeholder page promoting an unrelated vendor, and by late September 2026 it redirected to Soma Chems. The redirect to Soma Chems lined up with the relaunch under that name.

Was Amino Asylum raided by the FDA?

Many vendor blogs and forum posts say Amino Asylum was raided by the FDA or that its owners were arrested. We could not find any public record that supports this: no FDA press release, warning letter, import alert or court filing that names Amino Asylum. Some articles also attach a federal prison sentence to Amino Asylum that, according to the Department of Justice announcement, belongs to a different company. Until an official source confirms a raid, treat these claims as rumors.

Amino Asylum, Soma Chems and Amino Tech

After Amino Asylum went offline, the business relaunched as Soma Chems, promoted by many of the same affiliates with ads describing it as “formerly Amino Asylum.” Soma Chems announced its closure in October 2026 and stopped accepting new orders. The same business also runs Amino Tech, which many former Amino Asylum and Soma affiliates now promote.

None of the three has published a statement explaining the changes. As of October 2026, the Amino Tech website lists no business address and no batch testing reports. Our Soma Chems closure guide covers Soma in more detail, and our tracker of research peptide vendors that closed in 2026 covers the rest.

Watch for copycat sites. When a well-known vendor disappears, other stores often use its name to pull in former customers, and some ask for payment up front for orders they never ship. Judge any vendor on its own testing and track record, not on a connection it claims to an old brand.

How to choose an Amino Asylum alternative

Price and a familiar name are the least reliable signals after a closure like this one. Check for these instead:

  1. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis for the exact product and batch you would receive, not a generic or old report.
  2. Purity and identity on the same report. HPLC shows purity. Mass spectrometry confirms the compound is what the label says.
  3. A way to verify the report with the lab that issued it, such as a lab-hosted link or a QR code, so you are not relying on a PDF anyone could edit.
  4. A real, reachable business: working support, clear shipping and refund policies, and a U.S. shipping origin if speed matters to you.
  5. Buyer protection. Be cautious with any vendor that only accepts payment methods you can’t dispute, like wire transfers or gift cards.

Our guide How to Read a Peptide COA explains each part of a report and the red flags of a forged one, and our U.S. Research Peptide Price Report shows current price ranges so you can spot prices that look too good to be true.
